Hello Christine.

Just back from a week in the Flinders - awesome after some rain not long ago. Drove a Prado - very thirsty, but nice on the back roads. Labour is being flogged in SA and TAS. Greens got 25% of the vote in TAS. Pretty hot and humid in Sydney lately, but very nice today. Your trip seems to be as exciting and informative as could be, and I am sure the goats out west will never get over it. Take care. Big kiss from Mary.

Thanks for the news from N America Christine. I read with interest your proposed trip to Mongolia (sometime late this year?). I visited there in July 08 during a very good season - it is an amazing country. Unfortuanaltely they are suffering a very severe winter after a summer drought, so livestock losses are very high. If you get a chance, have a look at:- http://www.mercycorps.org.uk/countries/mongolia/10053

Hopefully they will have a good summer behind them by the time you get there.

Cheers,
