Farmnet is powered by an industrial strength webpage and blog platform called WordPress.  Anyone not familiar with the term blog - its just a webpage thats extremely easy to update and generally reads like a journal or diary. The entries or posts are chronological meaning earlier entries are usually at the bottom of the page and the latest posts at the top. Blogs are generally more interactive inviting
readers to comment.  You have many options once you get started to create webpages or a blog or both. To get started:

•  Click the sign up now button. Fill in the form (username & email address) to start your account (free). Note your username will become part of your web-address.  For example - if bob was your username, then your webpage address would be bob.farmnet.com.au
• Check your email - after a minute or two you should recieve a confirmation email.Click on the link in this email to activate. This will send you a second email with your login details. Use the login link in the email or through the front page at Farmnet
• Login will take you to your Dashboard.  You should have a look around and familiarize yourself to most of the links.   The main options on the left hand side ask a series of questions - What do you want to do? Write a page, Change your profile  and so on.

For many not famliar with WordPress - the system is bomb proof.  The
best way to get around the dashboard initially, is trial and error. You
can’t break anything and you will generally be asked to confirm deleting
anything important.
So jump in and have fun setting up your website.
